Basic converse did get ruined for me when it pivoted straight to being the “cool dad shoe” right after getting popular again about 10 years ago.

I tend not to be in the anti-drug camp but I do wonder how much of the UK’s rise in male suicide can be blamed on increased casual cocaine usage.

If your main criticism of Polanski is “all his politics is just meme’s and slogans” then I’d say the fact that what he’s accomplished in five months is a bigger criticism of the other main parties than anything else.

Another tedious “what shop would you like to see here” posts on a local facebook group popping up, one thing they’ve made clear to me is how many people don’t actually go into their local town centres anymore.

I remember working at a warehouse when the “I identify as an attack helicopter” joke was new and some lad made it, it got completely misread by the people who he made the joke to then faced a heap of transphobic abuse until he quit. Did not feel sorry for him one bit.
