It is the equivalent of a restaurant serving you shit on a place and expecting you, not just to eat it all up, but ask for seconds.

But these AI dubs are basically made from the perspective of "how can we do the bare minimum while still making profit." They couldn't even be bothered to give it a test watch to realize the crummy AI program didn't pronounce finger correctly.

For me, it's also very much the "attitude" behind them that make the two cases very different. For all you can say about 4Kids, it's important to remember they weren't cackling villains trying to "ruin anime." They were just people working under strict rules trying to play it as safe as possible.
