Happy Anniversary Age of Fire!

One of the best fantasy series for dragon fans. Did not get the love it deserved.

If you are a fan, who is your favorite sibling? AuRon, Wistala, or RuGaard?

Haven't posted in a while so here's a chart I made some time ago trying to connect all the dragon franchises together.

You got Smaug, Spyro, Siveth, Drogon, Kilgharrah from Merlin.

Some obvious ones I'm still missing are Draco, Saphira, Dragon from Sherk, and Sisu. Also the one from Luck.

I imagine there's an alternate timeline of Eragon where unable to sell his blue stone, Saphira's egg, Eragon buries it on the farm to keep it safe from thieves until he can find a buyer, but events cause it to remain buried for thousands years.

I wonder what happened to those movie props.

I see two books with dragon tags in the Goodreads Choice Awards? Dragonfruit and Of Jade and Dragons.

Have you read them?

But the only mention of plot dragons is in Dragonfruit's summary.

"Until, one day, an encounter with a female dragon offers her what she desires most..."

A while back we did a timeline showing the various depictions of Warcraft's Alexstrasza. From point and click cartoon to cinematic 3D model.

Any suggestions on other dragons who have changed over the years besides Smaug? We'll delay Saphira until the show.

They don't make fantasy book covers like they used to.

This original cover from Jane Yolen's Dragon's Blood (1982) was painted by Jean-Leon Huens's (1921-1984). While the dragon is a little uncanny, it's very detailed and the humans and clothing are top notch painting. Couldn't find any other---
