I have wanted a Subaru for the longest time, and tonight I adopted a 2016 Subaru Outback. Her name is Gaia, named after the Greek goddess of Earth. She is my first vehicle. I can’t wait to chase so many storms with her. Also, I am wearing my new destroy the patriarchy, not the planet shirt🌎🌲

I really am missing summer isolated night time thunderstorms right now. I have been struggling a lot lately with weather burnout.

A long line of thunderstorms is sweeping across parts of Western North Texas tonight, and a few tornadoes are possible. This situation is dangerous because it is difficult to see tornadoes at night, and these tornadoes will also be embedded within the line. Stay alert if you are in this area #txwx

Oh, if only Hollywood's special effects could magically solve climate change! Unfortunately, the reality is a bit more complex and less cinematic. But hey, at least we don't have to worry about outrunning tornadoes in the streets of LA…..yet.

I have had so many new followers over the past few days. Hello, I am Candyse. I am a third year geosci and meteorology student at Mississippi State University. I have been chasing tornadoes for the past seven years. I’d love to collaborate with other #womeninstem or fellow science majors/scientists🫶🏻

Andromeda is 2.537 million light years away, and has 1 trillion stars and a massive black hole at the center. Makes even our galaxy seem tiny.
