Finland ended homelessness with a housing first strategy that gave people apartments before they secured employment

Now they’re proposing a 4 day work week and 6 hour work days

True work life balance

Meanwhile in the US, people work two jobs and can’t afford food or healthcare.

Do people realise that puberty blockers don’t stop growth, and that they’re used to treat precocious puberty precisely because the condition would otherwise bring growth to a premature halt (at the end of the puberty)?

“As a society, we continue to deny the straight line between the minimization of everyday violence against women and the more horrific forms of misogyny that eventually materialize. The groundwork for gender-based violence is laid out daily in a world that allows misogyny to be normalized.”
Gender-based violence is an everyday reality, and it starts with minimizing misogyny
As we highlight 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and the upcoming anniversary of the Montreal massacre, can we take a moment to reflect on all the different forms this violence takes?

The Polytechnique massacre wasn't just a mass shooting — it was a mass femicide. The gunman explicitly targeted women and blamed feminists for the troubles in his life. We must fight like hell to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Don’t you dare forget their names.

Nothing has changed at all. We have seen this before ….

This is the same play from the 1930s. Europe has major problems with the far right too. It is an international trend among democracies. See this thread for the proof.

For all of you who say that 30% of America is insane; I guess that goes for Europe too.

We are not fighting any one nation’s idiots. We are fighting transnational rise of far right sentiment. It is the 1930s again.

But now we know what we face and how to fight it.

Let’s get to work.
A couple thoughts.

Trumps NSS is a betrayal. But it is not some American anomaly. Europe is facing these exact same threats. We are in this fight together, not separately.

Diagnose the correct problem. Don’t miscast blame.

We must collectively respond.

We can only win if we fight.
