Interesting post over on mastodon. Looks like SNP turnout crashed. Personal feeling is that SNP sidelining independence leaves voters cold and many just can’t be bothered to vote. Same happened in UK GE in 2024. Ignoring their USP risks losing more voters.

Westminster says they are investing £15Bn in 'UK cities', but it's only in England. It's almost as though they think Scotland and Wales have left already. Let's make it official.
As always England = UK:

£15.6Bn to Greater Manchester, Birmingham, Solihull Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sunderland, Washington, Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Middlesbrough, Derby, Nottingham, Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire & North Somerset.

Really, folks. Duncan is unpersuadable of the benefits of independence. He’s wedded to a UK run by Labour. Don’t waste your time. Move on. Talk to those who are open to understanding that Scotland can do what Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, Singapore and even tiny Malta do.

The average cost of renting a newly let UK home is now £3,240 higher than in 2021.

Rents have risen by 27% since 2021, wages haven't.

People priced out of buying/renting homes.

No govt plan to curb profiteering by builders, landlords, banks.

Result of austerity, real wage/benefit cuts, unchecked profiteering.

If Scotland had voted for independence in 2014 there never would have been a Brexit, England wouldn't have been able to afford it.

The Tories would have died sooner without their get Brexit done, and England would have had to compete with an Independent Scotland or everyone would go North.
