I tend to dabble into the numbers side of the game too much for my own good. Orlando, Manchester City (hints the user name), and overconsuming Central and South American football/futbol.
If you an image was ever needed to explain CONCACAF to folks; this might be it. The VAR Room for Trinidad and Tobago vs Curacao.

Half mark of the season. 5 results flipped to plus points (13) and 4 results flipped to negative points (-10). A net gain of 3 points compared to the last season.

Wanchope is up late and looking at things

Wednesday night be only the 3rd time this season that Orlando will playing against a side that had won their previous match. Since Chicago does not play midweek; OC will have only had a face team coming off a win 3 times in 1st half of season.

Here is Orlando City's record against the rest of the east since the schedule normalized (home and away) in 2022.

Looking at numbers through 7 matches; it is slightly peaked my interest that Alex Freeman is basically a copy and paste of '24 DDT.

A bit for the whole crowd. 3 points better through 7 matches. But 1 point worst in the same/similar matches to last season.

While I am here; here is the first 5 matches of 25 compared to the same matches in '24 for Orlando City. 1 point better. Same GD and nearly exact xG difference. The eyes can deceive. I would bet 90+% are happy with the start of the season. Still on pace for 47 point season.

the better Colombian Angulo that wears 77 has scored his 2nd of the season in about ~200 minutes of play so far.

A ton of uncertainty made it difficult and will likely look dumb at the end of the season. Add the west 4-10 could be drawn from a hat.

Got the list narrowed down enough to be readable. There are a few names on here that I would snatch up quickly.

This might be funniest thing that I have found in a long time. Was checking on a player that I have had a long love affair with. He is straight up killing it currently. Here is compared to Puig. The similarities were too good to pass up not posting.

Updated Orlando City Depth Chart as today. There needs to be a lot of work done in the next couple weeks to get a full squad for camp.

I might have just found my favorite to replace Torres. Aaron Molinas from Defensa y Justicia. Fits the age profile, plays all across the attack line, and has a tractor engine of a right foot. A bit more creative than Torres with close to the same non penalty scoring.

Scene of the other end.

1st leg is currently 0-0 just before the half. If you have Fox Deportes; the match is on there. The atmosphere at Coban is a throwback to the days of old. Fans surrounding the pitch on the hills. There are even more towards the other end. The TV feed cant even show them all.

The rumored replacement for Torres just screams Pareja winger. Excuse me while I go scream into a pillow.

No pyro no party in full effect in Guatemala.

A great atmosphere in Quetzaltenango for the 2nd leg semifinal between Xelaju and Antigua. Tied at 0-0 and 1-1 on agg. Final 20 minutes before extra time and PK on Fox Deportes. Xelaju attempting to complete the double. Winner plays Coban International in the final.

Xelaju avoids Municipal, Comunicaciones, and Antigua until the final. Comunicaciones and Antigua were involved the CAC so league positions for both area bit deceiving. Municipal/Antigua is the tie of the 1st round for sure. Antigua went to the semis of the CAC this year.

Catching up the Guatemalan first division. Still my favorite thing in the world is to guess which of 3 people are managing Comunicaciones at the current time. Here is the current list of manager changes since 2010.
