But apparently Starmer and almost all the UK political establishment said the ban on Maccabi fans from Villa Park was 'antisemitic', and they had the right to go to a match without the fear of being attacked. Yet again the 'victims' are exposed as being the attackers
This was yesterday, and it really is worth noting that this is what the political class and most of the press has been falling over itself to protect: the type of shit they would be demanding the army crack down on, from any other set of fans.

Am utterly bemused not just by the amount of coverage UK media is giving to the murder of someone who was unknown in Britain until yesterday, but also by the sycophantic eulogies for someone who was a nasty, divisive, racist. No loss. One less piece of 💩 on the planet.

Imagine a Tarantino-esque scene when a festival is being held in the closing months of WW2, a performer chants 'Death to the SS', and the audience erupts in approval.

The IDF is as abhorrent as the SS were. So why's the establishment losing its shit?

Silly me - forgot, they're Israelis😱😱😱

People losing their shit over #palestineaction spraying red paint over planes at Brize Norton, but are indifferent to one our so-called 'allies' committing genocide. They've done the country a massive favour by highlighting the appalling security at our most important military airfield.

How we can smash Britain’s two-party system for good at the next election | George Monbiot www.theguardian.com/commentisfre... An excellent article. It's time for progressives - Lib Dems, Greens, the Labour Left, and the Nationalists - to form a tactical alliance.

Labour is beyond repair. Time for a co-ordinated strategy to support progressive parties committed to electoral reform, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

#readingfc Now we've finally got shot of Dai Yongge and have an owner who seemingly has the best interests of the club and the fans at heart, the future looks much more secure and much brighter. Come on you Royals!

It wasn't to be for #readingfc, but we would have bitten off the hands of anyone who offered 7th at the start of the season. This group of players has done incredibly well, given the off-field shenanigans, and there's a special bond between them and the fans.

Starmer needs to get shot of McSweeney, stop sucking up to Trump, stop trying to appease Labour's enemies, and start listening to what people want and need - and not just Reform-slanted Red Wall focus groups. Basically, he needs to grow a pair and start doing the right thing.

Wildfires in Israel. On their independence day as well. Excuse me whilst I search for my tiny violin😉

Sorry to be controversial, but the trans debate is getting a hugely disproportionate amount of attention at the moment, given that a tiny proportion of the population is affected. There's genocide in Gaza, Trumpian economic chaos, and benefits and services being slashed, but this is more important?😱

The British people would like to see a wealth tax. They'd quite like closer ties with the EU. I'm sure they'd like a tougher line to be taken with the genocidal genocidal Israeli state. And ideally they'd like a PM who doesn’t continually suck up to Trump. Why is Starmer being so cowardly?

Made up to see the amount of stick The 1975 are getting after being confirmed as #glastonbury headliners. The absolute embodiment of homogenised, soulless Gen X culture. How they've sold millions and hoovered up awards is beyond me. They're utterly mediocre and their frontman is a gobshite.

MAGAs moaning and whining about the cost of US military support for Europe. They're not so vocal about the vast amounts of corporation tax that US multinationals have avoided paying over the years.

Snakes and ladders.

The government is looking at another benefit crackdown when it should, instead, be looking at corporate fraud and its own failure to pay all the benefits owing to people. Why has it got its focus so wrong? Does it just hate people on benefits? www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/02...
Why is the government obsessed with benefit fraud?

This is shameful from the BBC. They've kowtowed to the pro-Israeli lobby yet again. Lucky, then, that I managed to see this deeply moving film before it was pulled.

Great play has been made of the supposedly inhumane treatment suffered by the released Israeli hostages because of their emaciated appearance. No-one seems to acknowledge that this was an inevitable consequence of the IDF blocking and bombing aid convoys to Gaza. #israeliwarcrimes

The number of #labour cabinet ministers who have made moral handbrake turns to suck up to #Starmer and keep their careers is dispiriting. Lammy and Mandelson weaselling up to Trump. Lammy (again), Cooper and other previously prominent Remainers now reluctant to make concessions to the EU. Cowards.
