It’s self evidently not true - my brain and the way I think is very different now to when I was in my mid 20s. If you have any degree of insight into yourself or ability to reflect, you will continue to change and evolve through their lifetimes.

Horrible that this advice is needed. I would just observe that the section on parental responsibility appears to presume children have a mum and dad

Yes, Labour pushed through the fudged Civil Partnership law but the Tories who legalised full marriage equality.
Arguably Labour did its best at the time and civil partnership was a lot better than nothing. I’m not sure full marriage equality would have got through in that still very homophobic era

I just don’t understand the premise of their argument. Why would someone claim to be trans rather than being a gay man? That would be a very strange thing to decide to do. Especially irrational given the number of lesbian trans women.

So they want to abolish the (Labour) Equality Act which imposes statutory duties not to discriminate? Do they really think that would be popular?

That’s good. This is going back over 25 years (scarily) and to the days of Harry Benjamin. Twin set and pearls was the order of the day (which I refused to comply with)

The FA don’t care about diversity. There are six out male pro footballers in the world - one in the UK (PinkNews). The folded to pressure about rainbow armbands in the last World Cup. It’s all lip service covering homophobia.

I hope it’s not still a thing, but you used to have to pass the “real life test” and convince a couple of (elderly, male) shrinks that you conformed enough to their stereotype of femininity.

My only foray into the men’s toilets in several decades was fairly recently in Tesco where I was confused by the signage. Embarrassment ensued all round. Despite what the baroness thinks, I won’t be repeating the experience.

Actually, that might be helpful given how confusing the signage is for some toilets, relying either on slightly different signs (Tesco, I’m looking at you) or knowledge of random animals.

It also makes the GC group look silly, I suspect the average cis person on the Clapham Omnibus would look at this and think “that’s crazy”
