Went up to the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology and took some photos of the interesting architecture up that way. It's kind of funny how many modern universities seem to have adopted the exact same design language.

If my landscapes looked half as good...

I found out that everyone at my local camera store owns all these super nice cameras, which probably explains why they're not very impressed with any of my stuff. The clerk was showing me his Leica M6 and then the manager has a Contax 645

Is this what illiterate iPad kids call getting mogged?

Here are some shots from my last roll of Ektar 100 that I did. This film yields terrific results with very little effort, requiring basically no color correction from me.

I really wish whoever this genius who made this uploaded the original so I could print it out and hang it in my office and see how long it takes until someone notices.

I shot another roll of Portra 800 and wow, this one came out fantastic. Someone told me that it reminded them of that famous painting "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper. That's a huge compliment.

Shot on my Pentax LX.

What level of pretentious brotographer is taking photos in anamorphic widescreen to lean even harder into the "dude Japan is like in 2050 dude like it looks like Bladerunner dude"

I'm filmpilled and Ultramaxxing (and I want to be the 23rd veteran today after uttering that brainrot)

It's good that I've got a backlog of film to post here because my LX just started malfunctioning. Thank goodness it's under warranty.

I hate that Kodak Portra 800 has me batting a thousand, because this stuff is literally $1 frame.

The Mitsubishi Zero factory in Kumamoto Japan. Kumamoto was the launching point for the Kamikaze attacks during the Battle of Okinawa. The JGSDF base there sells chibi Kamikaze pilot trinkets at the PX.

It's a grim piece of history, but it's one that shouldn't be forgotten.

Behold my 4th rebrand into a "guy goes to Japan and thinks he's a Pulitzer prize photographer" account.

These were shot on Fujifilm Velvia 50, using my Pentax KM. I've since then switched to an LX.

I decided to do smoked brisket for the first time, and my dad kindly offered to reimburse me for the meat because he's going to benefit from me making this. He then got sticker shock because he didn't actually know how big a brisket was. He then asked me to prepare an unseasoned chicken for my mom.
