They're also bandying around the term "hate speech" recklessly. "Hate speech" refers to speech that targets someone based on their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, etc., NOT to criticism of someone for his incendiary political rhetoric.

Yeah, I was confused as to why the news reports kept citing DJT as their source. Any sentence that begins with the words "Trump says..." is immediately suspect.
