South Korean citizens helped lawmakers scale the National Assembly walls so they could bypass military barricades and vote against martial law.
It’s similar to the concept of the ever expanding universe that most galaxies are or will be traveling away from us faster than the speed of light and eventually we won’t be able to ever see them again let alone reach them. Socially we’re ever expanding away from opposing beliefs.

My theory on this is that, unconsciously, as has been happening with increasing social atomization and factious politics, many of us are seeking refuge in echo chambers while the few profit from this demand, which will only serves to make us more and more socially distant from differing ideas.

8/ I hope for better days while I brace myself for the worst that has yet to come, but is now at our very doorstep. And I will continue to educate myself and improve my situation so I can hopefully be apart of helping others because it is going to be needed more than ever in the coming years.

7/ Now we will recede from our position from the global stage as the superpower who led the world, and our pettiness will have us continue to politicize/factionalize over even that, as the devastating effects of it will impact the everyday citizen.

6/ Leading to the lack of responsible participation that our Democracy was founded upon and relies on. They used this knowledge to subvert the very mechanisms of our government/nation and we both blindly/willfully let it happen.

5/ They have a better understanding of the civics at play that make our nation function and how the average citizen is so inundated with mis/disinformation from their black screens they care not or aren’t able to synthesize it themselves…

3/ The rights of minorities being rolled back, mass deportations that will cause our economy to go in recession while images of the military tearing apart families play on our screens, lack of access to healthcare we haven’t seen since before the passing of the ACA, and our institutions eroding away
