"Here is a man who would not take it any more".

Consistently suicidal due to rancid state of the world and not willing to wilt in face of oppression. Calling out the c*ntery and wearing the woke badge with pride.

Every day registers on my self-created suicide scale. I've never got to ten, obviously but I've been close a couple of times. Overwhelming feeling of not belonging in this world where division and hate are the dominant currencies. I grew up to have a social conscious, be grateful for what I have....
@thetrawl.bsky.social The plot for the spoof movie Hot Shots starring Charlie Sheen involves a mission to destroy a middle-eastern nuclear power plant under the leadership of a completely incompetent commander.

Looks like Donald Trump was watching it and felt inspired.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Is Farage disappointed or devastated that the suspect is White British?

@mrjamesob.bsky.social the tightrope that law enforcement may well have to face now is whether a future atrocity, committed by an ethnic minority member, must follow this precedent. Because surely a disclosure of age and gender alone will surely be interpreted as 'non-white British'.

Amazing performance by @paulheatonsolo.bsky.social last night. Wonderful medley of the old and new. Rhian Downey is a phenomenon.

But @sheffieldunitedfc.bsky.social need to seriously consider their event planning. Nobody should be paying to spend half the night in a queue. Shocker.

Who else hears the kind of 'seal the borders' nonsense from the current caller on @mrjamesob.bsky.social and feel miserable to be held captive on this jingoist island of perpetual misery and hate?

Because they're terrified of accusations they're betraying Brexit. It's the same in so many areas. They're hiding their successes and yelling about their weaknesses.
It is remarkable how little effort Starmer has put into making the case for his renegotiation. No “Bloomberg” speech, no policy papers. An interview three days before deal day is the first outing of substance. If his pro-EU coalition gives him no credit for it, it’s because hes asked for none.
Keir Starmer: Why I love Eurovision — and my EU trade deal

The Prime Minister has proposed a deal which will bring the UK closer to the EU than it has been since Brexit — and thinks the British public will back him up. Read the interview ⬇️

Starmer said he will “make Brexit work”. But he can’t so he’s trying to sneakily untie some of the Brexit constraints and the public are turning against him. Not because they don’t want them but because he’s not being honest. Better to just say up front that Brexit can’t work and we need to rejoin.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Mystery Hour question. Is there historical evidence that the Titanic was consider 'unsinkable' before it sank. Or is that a retrospective urban legend because it sank?

Even those don't tell the truth of the problem. Today's AI is not an evil super mind who wants to take over the world. It's a glorified parrot that is being sold by grifter investors as the future. So people are losing jobs and getting fed misinformation by a machine that hallucinates half the time.

Even for the Telegraph having its usual hissy fit, this is an enchantingly stupid sentence, especially seeing as their economics editor has put her name to the piece.

"If anything needs a reset, it’s the UK economy." 😂

What does she think the trade reset with the EU is about? ~AA

No to Trump, yes to the Commonwealth & Europe!

We need to stand together against the malign influence of an aggressive and morally corrupt US government.

Labour better start making policies that help the working man, or there's a populist fascist waiting to fill the void.
Then our NHS and ECHR are at stake. Also if reform were to repeat what's happening under Trump (highly likely), then our democracy is at stake, too!
