The only two places I can think of that could feasibly need a high-capacity ferry line in the United States are D.C.–Alexandria and Miami–South Beach.

Can you think of others?
I’m really excited about the NYC Ferry route optimization plan announced today, which will go into effect next month.

The new network (1st image) will provide direct connections from Queens to the Bronx and Staten Island to Brooklyn, and it will help alleviate crowding on the E. River. Thoughts?

LETS GO WE MIGHT GET OUR FIRST TRANSIT MAYOR
Katie Wilson is leading in the Seattle mayor's race!

You can tell the US has so little rail service that if a government shutdown defunded them, Congress couldn't care less and would have no urgency to reopen the government lmao

What were some of the things I could've been doing instead of phone banking for Jacky Rosen last year 👇

All that for a promise to vote on ACA subsidies later?

I'm not really pro new city, but is there any place geographically you could see the United States building a new major city/metro?

I’m not sure what it says about the state of U.S. transit, but only five states move more people by rail each day than the people mover at Atlanta’s airport. By my estimate, it’s one of the most efficient rail systems in the world.

For all the traffic issues that Woodbury Commons has been dealing with, how come there’s no infill train station that serves the outlets directly on the Port Jervis Line? It seems like low-hanging fruit, no?

Why did NYC vote against Prop 1, which was literally to "maintain and build winter sports facilities on what is currently protected forest land in exchange for the state’s dedicating 2,500 acres of new protected land elsewhere in the Adirondack Mountains"?

So if a 1.5% popular vote margin is a "mandate", what's this?

How is Staten Island against creating a digital map of the city lmao?!

Is there somewhere you'd like to see the NYC ferry go to?

Just found out my health insurance premium is going up 5% next year, and my deductible will be $325 higher. Truly a wonderful healthcare system we have.

“Zohran will ruin a great American city” oh really y’all have called it a warzone for the last few years?
November 3, 2025 at 11:41 PM
A man who bought his Queens home for $145,000 in 1988, whose value has increased by 70% (inflation-adjusted), just DMed me on Twitter to say I need to “eat out less” to afford a home in New York City. I never thought of that, and that’s probably why I rent!
November 3, 2025 at 5:01 AM
One of my reply guys on Instagram said that we shouldn't have fast trains because Amtrak takes too long today, and it's not useful. I'm ready to be abducted off this planet, btw.

Running weekend service during the NYC marathon was certainly a choice.

It will have taken 10 years for the 100% affordable, 167-unit Phipps Houses project in Sunnyside to go from concept to keys in the door (opening 2026). It replaces a parking lot next to the train tracks. If NYC's Props 2–4 pass, it could’ve been done in a few years.

Trying to compile a list of rail lines that move 90,000 daily riders per mile and above?

We could build an 11.5-mile subway line in Milwaukee for the cost of widening I-94. But I’m sure one more lane will fix it!
(Swedish costs)

I’m not for free buses, but I think it’s funny that free transit in NYC is socialism unless it’s a 24/7 ferry to +30 Trump Staten Island lmao
October 28, 2025 at 1:42 AM
My political platform is that we should be building 50 subway lines, millions of housing units, tens of thousands of bike lanes and dozens of nuclear power plants all at the same time.
