Tonight, I discovered my DM has been using Hobo Code to track our world map. I never realized how well those shorthand symbols could work in a TTRPG. With a few tweaks, they’d be perfect for dungeon delving or world exploration for even the laziest of DMs or Players.

Yeah it is pretty simple and straight forward. It has been working pretty well for me.

Reaction is a powerful tool you can use to elevate your game. It can add depth, and unique experiences beyond combat.

Ex: A band of orcs approaches. Instead of assuming hostility, what if they're peaceful or fleeing? This could lead to new alliances, or plot points which reward player creativity.
