It's not a secret: I love Shadowdark. The latest Kickstarter expansion launched this morning, and I would be very surprised if it does not break the 1 million dollar mark before sunset. Kelsey has found the impossible hole in the Dragon's impenetrable armor. The King is dead, long live the Queen 👑

A simple table is all you need to create an amazing adventure. This list is inspired by the #Shadowdark corebook. Have a player roll for each prompt. Snag a small map from @dysonlogos.bsky.social then fill it with 6-12 enemies, 1-2 traps, a lost npc, and a thematic boss who drops cool treasure! 😎

Tonight, I discovered my DM has been using Hobo Code to track our world map. I never realized how well those shorthand symbols could work in a TTRPG. With a few tweaks, they’d be perfect for dungeon delving or world exploration for even the laziest of DMs or Players.

We rode past the ruins following the trail of the stolen shard of magic. Someone had been living there for a while and they called for us as we sped past.
Hoping they had seen the thieves, we paused to discover one of their kin struck by a foul curse.

Pre-kickstarter, during the OGL crisis, Kelsey was feverishly removing facets of the OGL from the game. Then the humble Stirge became a Stingbat! She & the community loved it so much that the name stayed!
