Going off of Aesop's 620BC-564BC lifespan, that would mean the "2600 Years Ago" line to kick off the moral segments in the 1920s Aesop Fables cartoons would be more correct now. 2600 years ago at this point is 576 BC, squarely within Aesop's later part of his life.

I find it hilarious that the first Betty Boop and Popeye appearance together in a piece of Paramount media since the latter's first short in 1933 is a South Park episode where Droopy shits in Kyle's mouth.

Really though, Pluto's original headshot makes for better horror material than any PD horror flick that's gonna get crapped out:

WOW!! So original!! What's next, Mickey's Mousetraps 2 with a bloodthirsty Pluto??

I'll never get over the island name of Egghead in One Piece, considering this is still the first thing I think of:

Reminds me of what happened to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, where the candlelight effect within the dwarfs' home from the original print has been removed over the decades. Just another reminder why film preservation is hugely important!

Yes, I have that Spiderverse short from a year ago located in the same folder as this:

Folks, you're not gonna believe this, Sony actually made use of their Golden Age cartoon library. More specifically, a clip from 1947's Big House Blues shown in the first episode of Boots ~14 minutes in...

Frankly though, not too far from reality:

The Terrytoons news comes on top of Thunderbean content coming to the channel as well, so I can imagine many Ub Iwerks, Van Beuren and early-Famous Studios cartoons are not too far behind now.

Even though Scrappy was mislabeled as Bimbo here, it's impressive Tezuka managed to get the drawing down to the tee, despite the character being highly irrelevant already at that point in animation history.

Social media discourse on Golden Age cartoons in nutshell: Anything old (even 70+ year old cartoons) is from the 90s, and the Hays Code was apparently very chill.

The most accurate thing here is this person's flair:
