My takeaway is similar to what Salman Khan tries to exemplify, AI use in schools needs to be heavily structured & monitored. Schools are rushing to add AI to their curriculum, but research shows most teachers struggle to use "pre-GPT" EdTech, are we sure we're not putting the cart before the horse?

It's definitely something that needs work, but I think new teachers should put up those walls and set boundaries early on. I've seen far too many new teachers over share and then have students walk all over them. Once they've found their groove, they'll know how much to give and take, no PD needed.

Seeing my students come to that conclusion too is awesome

"Wait, the Computer Science teacher runs the Crochet club? Why???"

Three months of crochet club later: "Ohhhh, I get it now"

These are some great ideas. In our session with these rules it didn't show up as often as expected. Even with a party of 6. I'm the kind of DM who is excited for the player characters, so I don't mind if every so often a miss turns to a crit, or the damage is a little higher on an attack.

To use this effect, you must dictate how you affected the attack. Did the glint from your bracers throw them off, or did you stand on their toe at just the right moment? This keeps players engaged and listening to get bonuses, as well as inspiring them to add flavor to combat.

Also works on enemy saving throws, if they roll your number, you can either decrease the save by 1d4 or increase the damage.

Can I get an add to this?

MagicSchoolAI really helped with the overhead of thinking up AI prompts. I ran a workshop and set teachers in groups based on grade ranges. Got them to find and share which tools they find interesting or useful. Got teachers thinking about how they could use it for their students too
