Celebrating 700 years of protecting reality from those who would warp it, and humanity from that which would eat it.

(run by cody, nwo feed agent and outreach representative. hi!)
[parody]
The NWO of course played some small role in all of this, purely to keep things from getting too out of hand.

You'd take it as an insult if we replied in anything but the affirmative.

I'm sure you must seem much older in person than you do online.

You only pollute your brain if you don't have strong filters to separate reason from unreason. Most people admittedly don't have filters of sufficient strength to do this, but I don't think that any of us qualify as most people. Or maybe I'm assuming too much in your specific case.

There's no official one that I'm aware of, but @docsteve2020.bsky.social seems to represent them adequately, if somewhat touchily at times.

I can't speak for anyone else, but these posts are directed only towards those authorized to see them with no memetic shit involved.

The memetic shit gets involved when people aren't able to coherently repeat the information in the posts to others.

//Spheres are NOT my strong suit, though, so I'm not going to go too deeply into this IC.

//I'll have to do some research. That comment was based off of things I read years ago, and I frankly don't recall if they were online or in an official sourcebook. It shouldn't take too much effort on my part, though. We're not looking at exact equivalents to Dominate, though, but similar outcomes.

Your analogy doesn't quite work, but I understand the annoyance. On the other hand, don't tell me that a Tremere would refuse any advantage in a contest regardless of their confidence level. In fact, knowing how to spot and exploit advantages is a skill in and of itself.

Ugh, I hate using their terminology, but for the sake of clarity: They hold the Seat of Forces in their cosmology and often specialize in it, but can also follow other spheres.

[//Yes, but different combinations of spheres can cause similar effects for gameplay purposes]

You're posing your argument in front of a crowd of your (hopefully) supportive followers rather than the people in that particular thread. In a group as intertwined as this one, though, you're absolutely correct, as we all seem to follow each other.

That's not quite true. The study often allows them to control their ability to do so, but the ability itself can manifest quite quickly following their Enlightenment, or "Awakening" in their mystical lingo.

I believe that it may be meant to bring the argument over to the territory of the one quoting the post.

Depends upon the data in question. The rumor that the government was working on stealth technology back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s paving the way for the masses to accept the B-2 bomber? Certainly. The rumor of actual vampires existing and feeding on humanity? Not so much.

I'm a part of a division devoted entirely to social media, and a former field agent with several years of experience and a reputation for competence. This particular role is one that I helped to create. If Reality Deviants see it as an unimportant job, then I see to reason to correct their error.

I wasn't aware that the Order was recruiting as young as secondary school, much less allowing the children access to the social media accounts.

I was wondering if you understood sarcasm. Now that I have my answer, I'll try not to use it in you unless it's just too tempting to do so.

At least according to our intelligence.

You think that I'm seriously trying to pass those off as either useful, accurate, or both?

The Order of Reason had been in existence for at least a century by the time he was infected with the hemophagic contamination.
