You cannot take my joy from me. I will fight the injustices. I will lament the trauma and heartbreak. But I will also _live._ #queerjoy #transgender #cripplejoy #disabled

No matter what the feds say, it is still #BlackHistoryMonth and you should materially support Black artists, thinkers, activists, content creators, businesses, etc, extra - even more than before, one would argue, as they are trying to erase our relevance and history.

Justice depends on remembering. When we hold onto truth, we dismantle oppression—one deliberate act at a time.

Give yourself permission this week. We are scared. We are tenacious. Both/and.

This is the poem I've been returning to over and over in the last few weeks. It doesn't put out the (numerous) fires. But "for a time/I rest in the grace of the world" as I read it. And that's not nothing.

Reminder: They're trying to demoralize you, and they're doing a great job of it. Part of resisting is making time for joy despite the attempts to make you feel this is not the time for it. Love your people. Dig the art that speaks to you. Go to the places where life flows into you. You deserve joy.
