I love where the program is and that it’s returned to the national conversation. Final Fours and titles would be great but I think most Marquette fans would be happy if we’re relevant every March. These guys are a huge part of that return. But they established expectations they’re not playing to.

But the “let’s spot the oppo a double-digit lead and see if we can dig out of it” approach is becoming way too common. If other teams know how to stop you, make adjustments. I’d have thought a Sweet 16 loss where one 3 pt attempt after another missed might have necessitated plans B & C…

Seems like Darryl Morsell is the last dude I remember who not only would take them but that I felt confident when he pulled up to shoot them. Too many games the last three seasons where “just keep bombing from 3, one has to fall eventually” led to collective disaster…

Yes which I passed twice, frustratingly noting the amount of kids in attendance for a midday weekend game. Been able to secure him a cookie the previous two years, so now he expects it come halftime. Settled for a Chick FilA brownie, but… shouldn’t be this hard for a sellout weekend game.

Two laps on both levels trying (unsuccessfully) to find a damn cookie for my 6 year old!
