Little tip for writers: Character before plot. Stories are about characters, not worlds or events. I see too many people start writing and go “I need every little detail of every cement brick in this city!” but that’s missing the point of what a story is.

Depends on the interpretation. Sometimes he does kill you. In the ones where is just an escort, though, he probably dresses like that because of the weather. I mean, you would wear a ragged cloak if you were dragging people out of mud and blood every day.
The grim reaper doesn't kill you, right? He just escorts you to the afterlife? Why does he need to look like that then. Clean yourself up man, I'm not going anywhere with you dressed like this

I looked at the Twitter (now X) account “libs of bluesky” just to see what’s posted there. It’s just someone being upset about other people being happy and believing things freely.

This is how you become a writer: just pick one of the things that is deeply wrong with you. Make it a character. Now send it on a self-help journey or try to kill it. Now call it a book.
