Total lunar eclipse/Blood Moon March 13/14, 2025. I made this montage to visually show the actual size of the Earth's shadow cast into space and across the Moons face. I used a 1000mm mirror lens. It was a beautiful night.

Final attempt to bring out as much detail as possible. Shot from downtown Mesa, AZ with a Nikon D5300 with a Sigma 300mm APO on a Star Adventurer. Because the D5300 does not have focus motors the lens has to be used at F/32.
