We live in an age of profound stupidity. The lack of even a slight effort to determine the truth by large swaths of our populace is making the concept of enshittification apply to not just our corporations but to our society in general. What will save us from the race to the bottom?

Continuing evidence of the corruption and illegitimacy of our current SCOTUS. Even an amateur like me can see the fact that they just make stuff up to get to their desired ruling, laws and Constitution be damned. It’s sickening and profoundly troubling.

Absolutely - but who’s going to hold them accountable? Magnitsky covers corruption or human rights violations by foreign individuals. We have these crimes being committed by US officials and their agents. At a minimum it will hopefully be a component of a post-Trumpian reconciliation.

Can someone tell me why Miller’s wife is interviewed as some sort of expert on anything? She has zero credibility or qualification to weigh in on any of these issues. I guess it makes for good TV - which is exactly our problem.

Let us constantly remind ourselves that our country’s military is being led by a third-string weekend TV personality. He is as unqualified as they come. Let us also remind ourselves that the GOP happily confirmed him despite his profound lack of qualification and suitability. This is the result.
