Saw a report today that Kier Starmer, UK PM, has recognized that BREXIT was a bad move for the UK economy, something most rational people saw from the start. Another day, another set of impeachable offenses by the Trump regime. It is truly way past time to impeach and remove Trump for so many crimes that listing them would exceed the character limit of many posts. Need to get the GOP on board or out of the way since it’s clear they won’t convict.

Today the current government shutdown with Trump as POTUS becomes the longest on record. Any guess who was POTUS during the now-second longest shutdown? Donald Trump. Anyone see a pattern here? If you want a dysfunctional and corrupt government count on Trump and the GOP to deliver.

It’s clear that Trump sees no need for Congress. He thinks that he needs no approvals for anything - how to spend money, who to go to war with, who to arrest, detain, and disappear. Congress’ inaction has enabled him. Never forget that the GOP is solely responsible for this.

The so-called “conservative” Trump/GOP has forced gov’t ownership of company shares, directed which companies should merge together, shaken down companies for “donations”, pardoned convicted criminals, and has increased US debt fastest since Trump’s 1st term. Doesn’t sound conservative to me.

Remember the fundamental truth: Trump soils everything he touches. With his gawdy bad taste, corrupt practices, disregard for any law, and bad faith dealing he will cause anything he touches to become broken, unusable, non-functional, and utterly revolting. Been true his entire life.

1/ In mathematics there is the concept of a limit. It’s basically a number an equation will reach if stretched to infinity. With the Trump regime I believe there are two limits we are headed toward and may reach unless real efforts are made to stop them.

1/ It’s No Kings Day! I have a feeling there’s will be an epic turnout to protest the Trump regime, his complicit GOP do-nothing Congress, and his corrupt and illegitimate SCOTUS. It saddens me that this even has to happen at all, but the embedded lesson is that the fight for our rights never ends.

It’s day whatever-it-is in the continuing saga of how the GOP is incapable of governing, amplified by their infantile fealty to Trump who can’t run anything without screwing it up. Who cares about governing when you need to hide the Epstein files? Your plane has been delayed to protect pedophiles.

Can we please stop casually using the term Christian to describe Charlie Kirk? His wife did the right thing by saying we should forgive his murderer but Charlie did anything but speak and do things that were Christ-like. It’s a perversion of the faith that hijacks the true teachings of Christ.

The degradation of the US has moved so quickly it’s time to demand Trump’s removal from office now, GOP majorities be damned. Since many are vulnerable, a focused campaign to Dump Trump is needed. Get the votes to impeach and convict, or force his resignation. Make it too painful to support him.

1/ Today we experienced a full frontal assault on our first amendment guarantee of a free press. The FCC, acting like it’s now the Ministry of Truth, thinks it can threaten broadcasters over content of their programming beyond that of decency rules. Blatantly unconstitutional and patently illegal.

1/ My 9/11 story - a very good friend worked on the 105th floor of one of the WTC towers. When news started to come in that planes hit the towers I kept dialing his office number. Initially I got his voicemail, then just a fast busy signal. My heart sank.

Another day of gun violence in the US. Sometimes famous people are victims, other times it’s just regular people. In either case it’s a parent, sibling, cousin, child, grandchild, friend, co-worker, teammate to someone that is taken away by a weapon fired by a person. Why do we tolerate this?

1/ Indications are that a NATO country was deliberately attacked by Russia yesterday. Drones from Belarus were launched directly into Polish airspace. Perhaps it was a test of air defenses. A quick and decisive response is needed to deter Russia from doing it again.

Yesterday SCOTUS took away one of our constitutional rights without any explanation. SCOTUS is already illegitimate due to the irregular appointments of Kavanaugh and Barrett, and corruption of Alito and Thomas. It further drives them to irrelevance, like Congress, due to GOP fealty to Trump.

China’s Xi will host Putin and Kim Jong Un this week. The clear reason is this: since the US is weak and ineffective with Trump this is their opportunity to steer influence and hopeful world domination toward them. Europe and other democracies need to figure out how to counter this without US help.
