I create monsters. Then I fly them. Sometimes they survive. You can watch all that shenanigans on https://youtube.com/shadowzone

I'm also available here:

Appropriate shirt for this movie, I hope.

And we're in business with Affinity on Ubuntu.
Nice.

Me: "Let's quickly write a short script for an upcoming video!"

Hours later and still not finished:

I will never activate this feature for my videos.
Whenever I encounter a video with automatic dubbing, it makes me physically sick because it is usually SO BAD both from the translation as well as the voice that I want to throw up.

Subtitles? Fine. But do not destroy videos by distorting it!

Wait. A big pharma company forgoing profit so that their new drug will have it easier making lives better for millions of humans?

Having lived in the 1980s where HIV was said to be "incurable", this is incredible.

Wait, I thought those TRON characters were all digital. Now I learn they're soldered? We're going retro hardware, everyone!

For real though, what I look forward the most in this: the NIN soundtrack.

Update on my broken @frame.work laptop display: it's no longer broken thanks to the super easy repairability of the device.
June 27, 2025 at 11:40 AM
Well, crap.

Just opened up my @frame.work laptop after a couple of days to find it like this.

Cool underwater flora and fauna you found at that dive spot!

Seems like we had similar holiday plans, I was exploring some wrecks in Croatia.

Wish I had a drysuit like you, it was 15°C down there!

I have tried to contact Unity for comment on this.
Their "Press queries" button leads to a form on their Investor Relations page where you can sign up for e-mail updates. No actual press contact.

Wrote to their IR and Compliance teams days ago. No reply until now.

Video later today.

Here's a video Rocketlabs posted unfortunately on that other site...

We got movement!

Apparently, manual reviews for demonetization take EIGHT YEARS over at YouTube.

Good thing there's nobody depending on ad revenue for their income, right? RIGHT?
April 29, 2025 at 6:09 AM
Ah yes, let's continue down the same trodden (and wrong) paths of the other site...

I really wish more people would be on Mastodon :(

A probably way too complex tool box I could hang onto my vertical rack rail.
April 9, 2025 at 8:09 AM
That... could have gone better.

Oh no :(

Isar Aerospace's first launch ended in a RUD.
Best of luck for the next attempt of Spectrum.
March 30, 2025 at 10:33 AM
Well, you did it. You're so interested in Isar Aerospace's first launch that you crashed their website.
Let's hope their launch systems are more robust.
Guess we won't know in real time 😜

After a lot of digging, I was able to unearth details and images from the secret Kerbal Lego game that was developed in parallel to KSP2.

Strap yourselves in, we're going for a brick filled ride!

Come on, @firefly-aerospace.bsky.social, post your good stuff over here, too!

The image was taken by Blue Ghost from the surface of the moon, catching Earth eclipsing the sun with a beautiful diamond ring visible.

Gorgeous! And here's the full resolution original: www.flickr.com/photos/firef...

Not sure why @rocketlabusa.com (bsky.app/profile/rock...) hasn't posted this here yet, but they apparently get to support OneWeb's future satellites with their solar technology.

Connections has a few curve balls for "Severance" watchers today.
Nope, that's not a correct group.
March 7, 2025 at 6:28 AM
Pretty scathing comments under this article. But not towards Ariane 6 as it would have been a year ago. No, towards SpaceX.

Elon has already turned Tesla into toxic waste (76% drop in February sales in Germany alone) and it seems like SpaceX is next.

Financial Times has a breakdown who contributed how much to Ukraine.
If anyone still thinks Europe isn't pulling its weight. And I count UK, Norway etc also into that category, not just EU.
March 1, 2025 at 4:54 PM
I've seen this question a couple of times.

Here is where you can donate directly to the government of Ukraine: u24.gov.ua

You can decide if your donation goes to defence or rebuilding or other programs.
