My thoughts were “it’s not a real word, but there is literally no other word that can be made with the letters I still have.”

Here’s where to download the open use logo:

www.debian.org/logos/

I haven’t looked into the acceptable usage info, but the SVG version should let you recolour to your heart’s content. Inkscape (open source) or PowerPoint are both decent options for SVG editing.

(I’m kind of assuming that the music means also somewhat naturally good at maths.)

I know that at some point there was also a fairly strong games industry here, but not sure what that market is like right now.
Data viz might be a somewhat viable segue for the graphics skills?

One of my friends makes it with roasted Brussels Sprouts in with the veges and it is absolutely delicious.

I see you writing ROLF, my brain wants to read it as ROWLF.

I’ve texted you their recommendation.

One of the big things is catching it early and not letting it get “stuck”. Then It can be permanent. But the compression is usually done to keep it from progressing further. There is surgery that help these days, but I think there’s only one place in AoNZ you can get it.

I can ask my neighbour. They’ve adopted a couple of older dogs that had issues. I know they had some specialist behavioural training help.

You’re welcome. Is it considered primary when you have it as part of having Spina Bifida?

I have lipodeama in my legs, but that’s easier to manage (for me). Conveniently the self-care for my arm covers off the management for that too. I do sometimes resent the extra 10 minutes in the morning tho. 😩

R had done such a good job leaving the kitchen tidy today ready for me to host my friend’s birthday afternoon tea, and I didn’t want to leave them for him to come home to... I need to get some different rubber gloves. My current pair don’t cut down the heat transfer enough.

It’s great, isn’t it? I got it from Kilt a few years ago. I don’t think I noticed the carrots until I’d worn it a few times. There are radishes and beetroot too!

I did not know that you had it too. I’m glad to hear you have it under control now.

Yes, they have to remove at least one lymph node to check for possible spread. I had a modified clearance, because mine was well into my nodes by the time I felt the lump. They took out 10 of them after my chemo, and I had radiation treatment after that, which I think also increases the risk.

But, if you do see someone wearing one, and they need to lift something heavy, and you are able-bodied yourself, an offer of help may be appreciated. Because lifting heavy stuff risks causing a flare (which could be permanent).
Hot water is also risky business (no baths/spas over 37°C for me).

So anyway… If you see someone wearing one of these sleeves, please don’t ask about it, unless you know the person reasonably well. Asking may be an unexpected reminder to that person that they had cancer when they were just trying to go about their day.

My lymphoedema is usually pretty well managed (through compression garments, daily self-massage and really professional manual lymph drainage) so I usually just wear a sleeve. Today I have on a glove too, because I’m having a flare after Friday’s market, and tonight I stupidly washed some dishes.
