It's the categories of like lovely, won't fit, etc but have made the colours prettier I M O as a result of fixing the mid-category tag of "consider splitting ❤️‍🔥". the font contrast is clearer. also removed an annoying random leftover )

It's a screenshot of a thing I made in Google Sheets to draft tweets in and have it change colours when I've hit the character limit. The Sheet name is "tweet drafter" In the address bar I've temporarily pasted a sample formula so I could reference the structure. The column headings are text, characters, ok ?, and word count. the word count column is just a plain numerical counter. The first column contains things like lorem ipsum "posts on Bluesky can now be 299 characters long!" and "testing 1 2 3", "I believe in miracles do ya do ya do ya, wow I achieved literally 1 goal this year 😒 that's amazing girl ❤️‍🔥 that's progress ❤️‍🩹 I love you :))), I'm actually so proud. I think I really need to learn more about INCUP wait fuck now I need to learn how to auto carry formulae nah bro it's no worries I nailed it immediately 😎 hehe I didn't but at least i got it working as a proof of concept of both the Sheets function that I'm attempting to learn* and of the person I'm trying to be 🥺. now I just want to test if a certain filter kicks in." The character count column gradually gets redder and redder as a warning as the test text approaches the 299 character limit. the "ok?" column is also colour coded but in a prettier purple colour and has quantitative ratings of the character count, i.e. "lovely 💝" "fine ❤️" "consider splitting ❤️‍🔥" "won't fit 💔" "babe maybe take a breath for a sec 🧘"

Also shout out to silly emoji mashups, I genuinely find the unsolicited suggestions day-brightening. I love the ones that are suprisingly handy but I much more enjoy thinking about what situation would justify the really bonkers ones. Silly thoughts expanded upon in the alt text

Super cute but also could be used in article about parasocial relationships or AI obsessions Mash up of winking emoji with I'm not sure what, perhaps a thumbs up, but anyway it's produced an emoji that looks like the winking face but with hands on the side of its face/body that are doing the friendly finger guns gesture that is often paired with a particular clicking vocalisation. If anyone reliant on alt text hears this description please let me know if you know the finger gun click I'm talking about. I looked it up and some people call it chlick but that word is gross and maybe sounds bad to you too but an article theorised that it emulates the sound of attempting to fire an unloaded gun. Anyway I love this emoji, I feel like it's a Pokemon style next evolution form of the winking face and I wish it were canon I combined the monkey emoji with the stormy weather one and it produced a frankly upsetting image of a monkey being electrocuted by lightning. The normal monkey emoji has a slight smile to its face, but this poor cartoon electrocuted monkey has a distressed expression of pain with kinda squinty eyes and a mouth open in despair. Behind the monkey is a big yellow starburst shape I guess to represent a big burst of electricity. Still following simplistic cartoon conventions, the skeleton of the monkey is overlaid to depict it being shocked right through. The emoji system knew to portray its suffering and that makes me feel strange. I don't know when this would be the best emoji to express something. Maybe a furry going through a rough time. I just wanted to show another example of random stuff so I combined an American football with a scorpion and it's made a creature that I think is pretty cute actually. It looks like a football with simple spider legs, a scorpion tail at the back, and scorpion claws at the front. The whole thing has taken on the colour scheme of the football and the creature's main face/body has football stitching and no facial features. Not sure when you'd use this. Maybe if your local football team was called the Scorpions but even then, this lil football scorpion guy is just existing, he's cute but not particularly emotive. What I mean is the vibe is not woohoo big game let's go, it's more like, sometimes god is cruel and that's okay because it has to be and we're all just little guys with no mouth but we must scream. Okay I think I should post this and get out of the sun. Maybe someone could use this emoji to express, like, "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" but at that point just make a bee and butterfly mashup if you want to be very literal or just send the damn quote, but that doesn't even make sense in the context of football really. Maybe it could be a joke about oh this guy dropped the ball so much he must have mistaken it for a scorpion? I don't know I'm just riffing. Love y'all

Oh and I went to look up, like, the least annoying emojis, and read something that mentioned, among other things, censoring words. I.e. if you must say grape, well fine, but maybe don't say gr@pe

I don't know if it's the right call in terms of best alt text practice but I removed most of the symbols from this summary of why symbols in words are annoying: When we use rape (with an asterisk), grape (with an at sign), fuck (with an exclamation mark instead of a u), or incest (with a dollar sign), it cannot be translated and it is read by a screen reader as a word would be pronounced and then the symbol and the rest of the pronounced word. That is not readable for others. An easy-to-understand example is Kesha’s stage name, which would be pronounced Key-dollar-sign-ha since the “S” in her name was replaced with a “(dollar sign symbol).”

Yo I just went to see if there are silly fonts that aren't a nightmare for screen readers but apparently readers are super varied with different parameters etc, and some of them just take one look at bold or italic text and simply refuse to say it at all!!???
