President Trump promised to cap credit card interest rates, but his Administration just rubber-stamped the creation of the nation's largest credit card company––meaning higher interest rates and junk fees.

Another win for Trump's Wall Street friends at the expense of consumers.

When I traveled around Europe in college, the train that I was on was stopped just outside Hungary, and official people walked through the train and banged under the cars with a metal rod.

And I thought: we’re going behind the iron curtain.

Thank God this can’t happen in my country.

I was wrong.
“They walked the full length of the train and questioned every single passenger about their citizenship status. According to the conductor, who has worked nearly 40 years on that route, this was a first. In all his decades of service, federal agents have never boarded his train like this.”
A co-worker of mine (who is a judge), traveled by train from Montana to North Dakota for work this week. The train made a stop in Havre, MT, where ICE agents—armed and dressed in full military-style tactical gear—boarded the train.

I finally gave in and watched the whole exchange, and sadly I recommend it if you want to understand what happened.

The transcript below does not convey how much Trump and Vance constantly talked and shouted over Zelensky. And Trump’s… segue into other topics at the end should be heard.

Right now there are thousands of angry people as far as the eye can see at the treasury wondering who the hell elected Musk President?

I do not recall a 24 hour or one week news cycle with more disturbing news about the state of the presidency and the US government in it than those of today and the past seven days. January 6 was nothing compared to this. But make no mistake, this too is the gov't being torn apart by a mob of thugs.

The freeze of federal funding IS CANCELLED.

Why?

BECAUSE PEOPLE PUSHED BACK.

Organizations that rely on funding.
Average Americans.
Apparently, some GOP behind the scenes.

There was a firehose of phone calls.

PUSH. BACK.

AND ANNOUNCE THIS ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE.

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

It’s a warning sign that Hegseth’s focused more on political retribution than national security.
