Tom Barbour from Thermal Image UK. From our central Scotland base we carry out thermal imaging & airtightness surveys on new and old buildings looking for heat loss. www. ThermalimageUK.com
"build tight, ventilate right." This dry-lining leakage though is uncontrolled infiltration, not ventilation. You still need to properly ventilate the homes properly, I 100% agree.

We could literally save £50 billion - or tell me where my numbers are wrong? If you've got an interest in this issue, please e-mail tom@thermalimageuk.co.uk to join our meeting on November 21st. Thanks

It's totally absurd! - Governments in London & Edinburgh are so obsessed with not upsetting "business" - aka the plc housebuilders - that they are prepared to do anything to avoid properly inspecting new homes for heat loss. Such a boring, unsexy task - but one that pays massive dividends.

...and you don’t create nuclear waste, or spend £50 billion! You also avoid the carbon cost of building a nuclear power station, and giving the Chinese access to our infrastructure. Why is no-one interested in building quality homes? What's not to like?!

This would ALSO avoid locking in 9 million tonnes of CO2 annually (300k new homes forecast to be built annually, houses lasting for 60 years. 0.5 tonnes of excess CO2 per house per annum).....

Hi Patrick - don't forget community transport operators, like www.CAStrathaven.org running the 3C service from Strathaven & Stonehouse in to Glasgow - transporting 15,000 pax per month, and taking thousands of car journeys off the road. It's not one size fits all. Come and meet with us! - thanks
