I'm not 100% sure this is an #iOS26 bug, because I don't share my workouts that often — but I have had occasion to do so twice since updating my phone, and both times the result has been this ridiculous cut-off image. And no, there isn't more of it if you click or something; that's all she wrote.

This is the pic I keep on hand to post in these sorts of conversations. Some sort of gigantic lifted bro truck simply won’t fit in most Italian cities, which mostly predate cars. Italians *do* like small cars, because they can drive and park them!

Ha, yeah, I totally get it. It’s context collapse: Remco said something (and as you point out, we don’t know what exactly), add a couple of rounds of Telephone, and suddenly social media is buzzing like a hornet’s nest.
This is why I tend to skim the surface; it keeps me (somewhat) sane.

In order to be helpful, information has to be actionable. I know today is a mess — and I am going to be a mess at the end of it — but there's not much I can do about it. This is why I tend to be skeptical about all the quantified-self stuff. It tends to devolve into metrics-gathering, not outcomes.

Most Italians are Christmas-and-Easter Catholics, if that, and find the ones in the second part of the tweet very weird. They seem to be mainly a UK/US phenomenon, though, perhaps because Catholicism is/was a politicised minority religion there.

If you have to get a puncture while out #cycling, I recommend doing it somewhere they sell beer. It makes changing the inner tube far more pleasant! 🚲 🍺

My primary big suitcase (actually a rolling duffel) has travelled enough with me that it needed some repairs — with a spanner and a couple of Allen keys. Very satisfying!
