Look at it this way: You bought a questionable old KLR650 in need of attention before you risk your life riding it in traffic. You've done a bang-up job of complicating your own life. Who needs fictional characters? This is a great plot, you're the protagonist, and Sophie is the loyal sidekick.

Clanky? Sounded like a modern boxer, to me. I didn't notice anything unexpected. It's a large-displacement twin, with the nature that comes with that, but it feels quite refined.

I like the Zero FXS, did a demo ride, shopped around for one and found some deals on used ones, but none that were close enough to me. Still keep my eyes open.

On the way up the mountain, the only traffic I passed was three bicycles, two cars, and one red fox. The fox declined to be photographed.
