What if I ignored the negativity?
What if I stopped worrying what other people think of me?
What if I wrote what inspired me?
What if I trusted myself?
What if I followed my dreams?
What if I took a deep breath, shut out the noise, and wrote?

What if?

Grant Park is one of Chicago’s most beloved institutions, but creating this public space was no easy task.

It began with a simple notation on a map: “Public Ground—A Common to Remain Forever Open, Clear and Free of any Buildings or Other Obstructions whatever.” 👇

This weekend I'm moving my Simple Self-Publishing Course to Substack where it will be a $9 membership. Why? Because becoming an author changed my life. I've had so many people ask me for help and advice and honestly?

And this is why you should always order a proof copy!

Oopsie.

And this is also why I use brackets to mark places I need to edit. Finding all of them (fortunately, there weren't that many) was a simple search.

With the release of my 6th novel and my 15th book, a lot of friends have been congratulating me. Awesome. Except they also say I'm "really cranking them out."

I know they mean it as a compliment, but...

It's #TravelTuesday ! In prepping for my 2024 round-up, I listed all the places I traveled this year. I had to laugh because I told my husband I really didn't travel that much - then realized I was gone 84 days.
🚗
Yeah. That's over a quarter of the year. 😄
