I accidentally blocked my desktop from accessing #HomeAssistant by entering the password incorrectly 3 times. Quickly, found the solution on the internet. If you fail 3 login attempts, the IP address goes on a blocklist. That's a safety feature I like.

Should I offer my first invite code to my son's new school?

I'm not spending much time on any social media (too busy), but when I dip into Twitter, I spend a whole lot of time reporting scams and imposters on my notification feed. It's become a hive of scammers. However, I am enjoying Bluesky, Mastodon and Threads. Not devoting to one, but giving all a go.

Just having a play-around. One thing I have just discovered is, "My Feeds". Looks like a really good, curated feature. Depending on what you want to see when you open the app up, you can choose. Let's see how this pans out.

For myself, social media should be something I glance at for 15 minutes and not be glued to hours on end, which Twitter had become due to inducing rage. The nice thing about Bluesky, Mastodon and Threads is that they are new enough and not had a chance to become a cesspool. I hope it stays that way.
