Just. Words. Inspiring words.
I think they’ll get something decent for him when we that point comes.

I think in real terms I might have been the only person who writes about the NBA in any form who thought they should trade him this summer.

I wrote this in the preseason but the good thing about building around Ja is you are also building the team after you trade him. They can trade him and still have 4 point guards under contract.

I doubt it. They have five point guards on multi-year deals, and I'm not sure the FO would view winning 31 games and getting the 7th pick in the draft as a bad outcome.

Will that happen? Probably not. But I do expect Jaren to *suddenly* look better if they put the ball in his hands at the three point line more often with no screens.

the best case scenario is that the team re-constitutes the offense on the fly around Jaren and shooting/athletes, and Ja comes back in 3-4 weeks, and the team doesn't really need him to function at a ~19th level in the NBA.

You know the one! He jumped and ripped it away and I was like, wow, haven’t seen that in a while.

fwiw, I have not read Buried Giant. I bought it for my wife years ago at a little bookstore in Greece (owned by a Memphian, actually).

Yes. He would be my vote for greatest living writer. His peak isn’t as high as some others, but he just cranks out really good/great books. You should check out a pale view of hills. It’s his first book, and it’s very different than all the rest.
