His argument is nonsensical. I assume he has no pets of his own, because if he did, he’d know a pet is family. Would he name his daughter “Mittens” or his son “Patches”? Only if he was insane. I’ve had a number of pets, including a kitten and a tarantula, both named Dave and a dog named Jack.

I do love the witch books, but my favorites are the ones involving the City Watch. Vimes’ Journey is fascinating, especially knowing he doesn’t want to be a part of most of it, aside from his relationship with Sybil.
