I think the GM-friendly answer is that she divorced her because she became an adventurer. Since the ex isn't one, she merely hires mercenaries to harass her in an effort to get her to quit adventuring and come back home.

This idea could be the core of a Kids on Bikes adventure. I'd play it.

Overturning the appeals court (re: TX redistricting) without explanation seems horrifying.

I love Philosophy Tube even more on Nebula! No annoying ads that interrupt the flow of the essay.

For games I've already run for players who are mostly used to D&D only:

1. GURPS for flexibility and crunch.
2. FATE for customizability and narrative focus.
3. Call of Cthulhu for cosmic horror that Ravenloft can't match.
4. Masks for PbtA storytelling in a superhero setting.

There are Hero of Justice jobs that need filling in Washington DC, but the pay rate includes being hunted by fascist goons.

American Horror Story did the opposite in what I think is their most terrifying season: they just showed a Trump supporter making life hell for a vulnerable lesbian and her family.

Basic D&D was my 1st, but I quickly expanded my range with Traveler and Gamma World and as many other RPGs as I could learn. I am currently running both a D&D 5e campaign and a Masks PbtA campaign.

Indeed, if conservatives are fans of Star Trek, they are fans in spite of ST's messages not because of them.

TOO REAL!!! I didn't come here to be slapped in the face with real world problems.

And that's quite odd because Star Trek itself is very left-leaning in its themes and ethos.

I mean, we are living under an enemy occupation....

It was used in many of the reviews og the original Guardians of the Galaxy also because James Gunn has a knack for choosing great songs also.

I'm not sure, but it may have started with Quentin Tarantino and Pulp Fiction. Some of his music choices were really iconic.
