otherwise if someone is just being a poo brain bc they dont like your blorbo or your ship you can just report, delete, block them lol. disabling anon comments is also an option but i wouldnt bother w it unless an actual problem starts

No worries, the only real "ao3 culture crimes" I know of are people tagging characters for insignificant appearances and people slapping platonic & "ship" tags on a romance or smutfic. basically mistagging to trick more people into reading. or failing to either warn or use "chose not to warn"

and then i tag with any content warnings, and major kinks if it's smut. other general tags like "found family" are a bonus and boost traffic but i'm lazy and don't know enough genre tags to bother lol

I just tag each individual character that has a big enough presence in the story to not disappoint people browsing the name tag (some people tag characters for a single line of dialogue but this is evil behavior lmao). and then tag the significant relationships too. & "ship" tags are platonic only.
