I'm tired of seeing people comment on unofficial ROM hack reproduction carts made by reseller bros saying "the Nintendo ninjas are coming!!!!"
November 4, 2025 at 2:03 PM
"Nintendo ninjas are gonna DMCA this!!!"

"This is slop because it doesn't fit my vision for what the original IP is (which is already open to interpretation)"

"these fangame developers don't have a creative bone in their body and are physically incapable of making anything good"

thankfully I haven't gotten to that point while using linux myself and I've had significantly less problems with it compared to windows

and when I've had problems with booting ive found it easier to fix than fixing the bcd on windows

(btw thanks for pointing that out earlier, that was the problem)

win11 is win10 but with more AI slop and also explorer crashes every 20 minutes now for some reason

meanwhile arch has worked the exact same since the day I installed it. no problems whatsoever. absolutely love every bit of using it

same drives at first, later migrated the arch install over to its own drive. both systems booted at both points though

and I'd rather not use 2 machines as I don't really have 2 machines to do that. hell, the main reason for alarm I had at first was if my SSD was failing (which seems fine)

shouldn't affect it whatsoever

my setup was formerly dual boot as well yeah but I ended up transitioning to a completely separate drive later on

either way though my arch setup didn't touch windows boot manager and had its own boot partition to work from
October 25, 2025 at 4:31 AM
Windows 10 is on a separate SSD and grub doesn't modify anything on the EFI partition. I also booted to Windows Boot Manager separately on the drive itself rather than using grub on my NVMe.

I also booted to Windows shortly after installing arch and it worked fine then.

Its 100% also not an issue with the hardware, as the drive reads perfectly fine on arch. Also i haven't touched windows either. i have no idea what went wrong but i dont really care enough to fix it

if I hear one more "Linux users" joke in reference to using discord on Linux I'm going to paint my ceiling
