Love the show but I can’t believe that in the section about Baltimore, and a novel approach to reducing crime there, you didn’t mention The Wire. Season 3 was literally about an unusual method used to reduce murders. Old series but still relevant. Keep up the good work guys 😀

Our latest huge poll just landed in The Observer, & shows its trade with Europe that Brits want HMG to prioritise at the reset, over defence, tackling small boats, & certainly before trade with 🇺🇸

🚨 BREAKING: Brits want trade to be the government’s top priority at the UK-EU reset summit - not just defence.

With the cost of living crisis continuing to bite, NEW @yougov.co.uk polling also shows 53% of Brits think closer ties with the EU will drive growth.

Great to hear @pimlicat.bsky.social on @mrjamesob.bsky.social show just now, articulating everything that I think but am unable to articulate myself. I wrote to my MP about the Best for Britain report and he emailed back about the veterinary alignment, nothing else

Why am I looking forward so much to @quietriotpod.bsky.social Sunday School tomorrow? It must be because it’s THE podcast for a calm, considered discussion about current news topics. The standard of the recent episodes has been outstanding, and that includes the specials

What did Trump actually achieve with that performance today? Did it win him any new friends? It probably made him feel good but it just showed the world what a disgusting individual he is. We need a response from Starmer in support of Ukraine and to show solidarity with Europe

He is not just appeasing Putin, he is aligned with him. And every single client journalist, political shill & public/online cheerleader on both sides of the Atlantic is too. Against Zelensky. Against Ukraine. Against freedom. Against the most basic tenets of decency.

💥 THIS IS MASSIVE 💥

No other policy or infrastructure project estimates this level of GDP growth over the same time period.

It's within Gvt Red Lines.

It's popular with voters, especially Con -> Lab switchers in 2024.

Those who don't support beneficial alignment are the anti growth coalition.
🚨 NEW RESEARCH: This is what the Government's been missing in its plan for growth.A boost to UK GDP of up to 2.2%.How can they get it?With deep alignment with the EU on goods & services. Which would be firmly within Starmer’s Brexit ‘red lines’. 1/6

🚨NEW RESEARCH🚨

Closer ties with the EU could deliver growth of up to 2.2%.

Clawing back up to half of the damage caused by Brexit.

Delivering double the impact of a UK-US trade deal, according to the govt's own analysis.

And all within Starmer's red lines.

It’s difficult to see how the Government’s house building target can be met when the major house builders are mothballing some sites mid-build due to lack of sales.

“The attack on women’s reproductive rights is doubly frightening because it is strategic. If you buy into notions like the Great Replacement Theory, it follows - although rarely articulated - that you need white women to stay home and have lots of babies. Starmer is right that for 14 years we had low growth, austerity and a pay more get less system. But he's fails to add that having pursued that doctrine, the Tories then ran away from power. Not enough is made of that. They literally legged it, leaving us with their mess.
