Porter has the second-lowest PPG of any coach in MLS history with 10+ seasons in charge, and has never made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. So you probably need to update your priors.

I’ve always thought of Porter as a good coach, but something hasn’t been clicking the way it did elsewhere, specifically Portland and partially with Columbus

Left early. Have always found the Q&A an cringeworthy experience. Good to hear it took the Arena saga to change the tone in the room for once. Though I’d put money on the fact that when Porter speaks this year, he won’t received the reception you think he will / should. We’ll see.

“Roundly booed?” Have you been to these things? For a decade Mike Burns got up there and the only tough question / negativity he received was from some 8 year old whose dad made him get up on the mic. Folks talk a big game … then they get to the Putnam Club.
