2/4) To be technical, the feature aims to reduce the latency (delay) if you play in Windowed mode, but it also somehow ruins visual smoothness. Here's the above comparison in full speed.

(1/4) I realized what's causing The Sims 4 to be pretty laggy even when the game says it's running above 60 fps.

It's a feature called "Optimizations for windowed games in Windows 11". Here's a comparison of it in slow mo.

Notice how less jumpy the camera is with it disabled.

animating walking is hard!

A key thing I notice I keep forgetting to pose when making walkstyles is the rotation from the toe bone.

The old version on the left without it looks way more strange right?

It's interesting that one of the few things TS4 kept from TS3 is the swaying (if that's the right word?) motion for the romantic anims.

Making some anims. This is based on the same reference footage but animated differently. Which version do you prefer?

Practicing making walking anims, haven't done so in a while.

I am quite surprised to see that Life and Death didn't add the Daredevil trait from TS3. It'd be interesting to see a sim who's personality is doing stupidly risky stuff just because "it looks cool"
