I really had to weigh the consequences of joining my union's 5 day strike. Yes, big picture is we are fighting for safe staffing and more staff for better access.Still, seeing the names of patients who would need to be rescheduled was hard. Does Greg Adams care about us? 1/x @ofnhp.bsky.social
A letter from my patient. It was one of the most heartfelt notes I had ever gotten. This poor guy had dozens of small wounds in his face because he shared a razor with someone who had MRSA. what are you gonna do. Your homeless, you just got cleaned up, you're trying to look nice for a job interview. Your friend has a razor and is willing to share. Apparently me and Tom were willing to treat him like he is a person. I hope he is doing well.

I love making balms but took a break for a few years. I grow calendula, so this is almost mandatory for me to do.
Love the smell of beeswax and lavender. These are mostly calendula infused castor and/or olive oil, beeswax, and lav essential oil. Two also have arnica oil i bought.

This is OHSU's wage scale. They compete for the same nurses as Kaiser here in the Portland metro. I would make over $10 more AN HOUR if I quit and worked there instead. Instead of offering competitive wages, KP sits on tens of billions of dollars, buys up other healthcare orgs, CEO makes $7211/hour.

Dental Hygenists in the Portland metro will be able to afford 1 ramen package with their 15 year longevity bonus of 50 cents an hour, after 2-3 hrs of work. Currently top out at 1 YEAR with no raises (besides the Across The Board increases that haven't kept up w inflation).

Cutey little cat. Hes actually not little, and his whiskers look more impressive in real life he has white front feet that he's holding up while being held up with his tummy exposed. He's pretty relaxed and body language is not tense.
