In short, peace, goodwill to all mankind and if you come for my family or my daughter's trans friend I will respond with vengeance.

i have said this before but when “getting rid of race in admissions” for the administration means “you can’t even try to reach out to underrepresented communities and encourage them to apply and if you do it is illegal discrimination against white people” then the actual goal here is segregation
Harvard Ends Undergraduate Minority Recruitment Program as Trump Targets Race in Admissions | News | The Harvard Crimson
By ending the minority recruitment program in May, Harvard shuttered a more than 50-year-old initiative to encourage minority high school students to apply.

Up until I was a teenager the hardest I ever rocked was to Mickey and Becki Moore's Kick, Shove, and Maim. My radar for people who grew up similarly is very accurate.

As a small child, I was playing with some other children. We noticed that the clouds had a streaky pattern. A child said that it was a tractor that had driven over God and we were all going to die. I'm not saying she was correct but I am watching the clouds more closely these days.

It's coming to that time where the name of the game is cringe levels of earnestness.

So much critical infrastructure in North America is in the same situation. Definitely not the time for austerity.

Greta Thunberg, you'll recall, was the teenage hacker who took control of all of the EU's finances. Using this great power she turned all of Europe into a communist dictatorship. She also said some things that were annoying because her audience was made to self-reflect on their selfish choices.
"...if American democracy can survive 10 years of Greta Thunberg scolding you guys can survive a few months of Elon Musk," VP Vance tells the Munich Security Group.

I've been talking to a lot of acquaintances about the current events and my conclusion is that it's hard to believe that American democracy survived this long. Maybe there was a time when the average person understood the importance of checks on power but very few seem to know or care now.

Shout out to the woman who signed my petition to protect a wetland because "I don't want this town to become a 15 minute city"
Anyone who has spent any amount of time actually knocking doors (or doing surveys) can testify that there's people out there with politics that are, let's go with, "aggressively incoherent"

Not that I have enough followers to matter but going forward I'm going to make some posts to add some legibility. This is the first thread towards that goal.

The Brady Bunch remake as an absurdist body exploring the work of Ned Block horror series would be a perfect canvas for this.
This is why it's so important to give eve6 two million dollars to score your movie
long, longtime NIN fan back to childhood

but worried reznor/ross become the default score guys to go to for indies or prestige dramas and become overexposed

(and everything they do is great, including if not especially all their film work)

Alvin Plantinga's Reformed Epistemology has been properly wrecked by the events of the last 8 years. Existence of minds? An
external world? Memory? Please stop with this nonsense. Just let me experience all the textures of the rugs in my house.

I don't know about this, in a poll of my followers, a significant majority mentioned my tedious nature as being the main reason they followed me. Dare I betray my audience by jumping on the cute train?
If you want people to follow you back on social media I suggest trying to be funny or interesting or cute instead of being excruciatingly tedious

Paradox of Tolerance: "If you hang out with Nazis they'll eventually remove your freedom to hang out with anyone else."

Liberals: "Boy, what a paradox, it's sure hard to know what to do about these Nazis, maybe we need to be a little bit mean to trans people."

I'm just saying, if you're looking for someone to blame for all this, you could do worse than John Nelson Darby.

With all the mess in the world these days it can be hard to know how to orient yourself.

If I may offer a suggestion:
Be more feisty.
