Grounds for impeachment and if the corrupt Republican Congress refuses to do their duty, then extrajudicial measures are justified to remove the lawless unconstitutional illegitimate traitors from our government.

The "elements" you're referring to are not adequately addressed in the film which is the entire point. The audience being required to ret-con (read: make shit up) is not indicative of quality writing.
Audiences are evidently lowering the standards of what passes as a well-told story.

Your premise is a bit odd in that it appears to be based in the idea that "older movies" are all superficial and didn't require the audience to think about anything at all.

Trying to excuse the weak material by attempting to undermine the credibility of the critique itself isn't a viable method to support the argument. In other words, "attack the messenger" isn't really addressing the issues, is it?

Actually, the movie doesn't show nor answer any of the questions I've posed which is why I'm perplexed as to how others have chosen to ignore these clear story and marketing issues. Sure, you can retcon anything to make it make sense, but the onus is on the storyteller to provide those answers.

The marketing clearly insinuates that the KIDS are WEAPONS yet all they do in the movie is nothing until the end when they inexplicably attack the old clown woman because somebody stepped over the salt.
