Presenters Alex Arreguin and Caitlin Martin will provide examples from writing-related faculty development at three institutions and the 2024-2025 Sensemaking for Student Success Program, a Lumina Foundation-funded change initiative that supported higher ed institutes in Ohio.

Many WAC programs want to create more supportive institutional cultures of writing, but this change is difficult to enact and often invisible.

This workshop will discuss explicit and implicit indicators of change and how they can be used to understand cultural change in higher education.
