Anyone ever read "Foucault's Pendulum" by Umberto Eco and think, The Name of the Rose was a great movie! Why isn't Foucault's Pendulum a movie?

Well, because the book is too damn long to be a movie.

So I adapted it into a four-episode mini-series.

HOME FOR MONSTERS - DAY MAIL CARRIER approaches the mail box outside the Home for Monsters and hesitates. Mail Carrier looks at the bush next to the mail box. MAIL CARRIER Is that you? Hello? Do you want your mail? Mail Carrier wedges the mail into the branches of the bush and turns to walk off. With a RUSTLE, the bush on the other side of the mail box unfolds, revealing itself to be WIND, a sentient plant-person. Mail Carrier SHRIEKS in fear. WIND Why did you give the mail to Albert? The title "Married with Mutants" over a shitty drawing on notebook paper of a three-eyed mutant. This is slug, the "child" of the titular married couple. And, since I have 1800 more characters: Did anyone notice the apocalypse? Seems the world ended a while ago and things just keep on going, but it’s not all horror and mutants all the time. Not like we see on TV. On TV it’s all fungus-headed killers and either slow zombies, fast zombies or mutant video game zombies ending civilization. But where is the humor? Can’t we laugh at the end of the world? Maybe make friends with the mutants? Astor and Terry didn’t ask to be roommates, but here we are. The wounded ex-wasteland warrior and the artist, not to mention Terry’s little mutant sidekick, Slug, are now roommates, if you can call three walls and a rotten plastic tarp a room. Throw in Zed, an undead neighbor, some cannibals and warlords and you have the perfect neighborhood to kick back and watch it all burn. We can even have a nice day out at the dump! Learn how to survive! The show will teach you: What is proper zombie-stabbing etiquette? How do you politely turn down a free meal from a cannibal? Are bullets a replacement for money or just min/maxing robbery? How do you greet a new warlord? These questions and more are explored each week as Terry and Astor, along with their friends and neighbors, negotiate the wastelands and the various factions that vie for supremacy. Not a very good drawing, which I can say since I drew it, but cartoony and the octopus is wearing a pearl necklace and has big hearts in its eyes. The tentacles are tangled up and if you look closely one of them doesn't really attach to the body of the octopus in a very believable fashion. Oh well. It was fun to draw. My partner and I are fascinated by cephalopods and it's a theme in our relationship, which is why I drew it. And, just as an aside, isn't it weird that we can type all this in the text description but our posts are only 54 characters or whatever? I mean, I'm just rambling here and only about a third of the way through my limit. I could go on about squids or squirrels or whatever. hmmm. Nothing to say tho. Enjoy your day!

Two bugs fighting. I don't know what else to call it, I just draw when I can't think of what to write. It's a black and white line drawing and the bug on the right kind of looks like a shrimp but with grossly elongated arms with huge claws about to pinch the eyestalk of the bug on the left which looks like a frog with eyes on stalks, a shark mouth and a long tail with a stinger that is going for the other bug. I guess they are not really bugs. There is violence implied here, but not yet happening. In motion. Potential. I went to a museum once and was looking at a collection of a surrealist/dadaist artist and one of her works had been destroyed by a collection know as "Statists" who protest non-representational art. Sometimes I think I agree with them. The artist who had their work destroyed had tied it back together and come up with a cute and clever title for the new work. I'm not sure what all that last bit was about

Number forty two! The angry words cut through the fog of love. Movie poster: a black and white super yacht sits on the ocean. Two figures trudge through the thigh-high snow. TENZIN (m, 35), a Sherpa, wears full arctic gear and breaks a path through the snow for MILA (f, 20), a young woman wearing light street clothing and no jacket. She is unaffected by the cold and walks lightly, leaving no footprints. As they approach the summit, TENZIN stops. TENZIN (in Nepali; English subtitles) No further. It is forbidden. A careful examination of the right edge shows evidence of sloppy photoshopping to get rid of the finger holding the paper, as if the artist was removing every trace of themselves from the art.
