What a miserable 6 days in Philly sports fandom.

Union winning the shield was the punch in the turd bowl.

The main reason some have used for this Eagles season not being 2023 again is “Fangio and the defense”…who just surrendered 5 TDs to the Giants and PS receivers.

Blasting Strahm’s walkout music for 3 minutes to hype up the crowd as he enters the game due to a pitching meltdown and the season slipping away is so tone deaf. Read the room, Phillies crew.

Seen this post-season before from the Phillies. Big bats go silent, bullpen implodes.

You spit, you go to the locker room. Sixty minutes, by yourself, you know and you feel shame. And then you pay $57,000 and play in KC.

0 days until Eagles/Cowboys

Dallas has 0 wins vs Tom Brady & Patrick Mahomes.

The Philadelphia Eagles do not have 0 wins vs Brady or Mahomes.
September 4, 2025 at 12:28 PM
1 day until Eagles/Cowboys

1 is also the number of total TDs Dallas scored vs Philly in 2024.

Eagles scored 1 TD per quarter in those games.
September 3, 2025 at 12:25 PM
2 days until Eagles/Cowboys

2 is also the number of playoff wins Dak Prescott has in his entire nine-year career, back to 2016.

Jalen Hurts has averaged 2 playoff wins per year, since 2023.
September 2, 2025 at 2:07 PM
3 days until Eagles/Cowboys

3 is also the number of playoff wins Dallas has in the last 15 years.

Eagles won 3 playoff games in 15 days in January.

(Then they won a 4th: SB59)

Also, NFL training camps are a hot bed of dudes openly marveling at other dudes thighs.
Was at Eagles training camp today and can give you a scoop the “real” Philly beat reporters don’t want you to know:

TE Cameron Latu took reps as a backup/emergency long snapper.

In honor of Ozzy, I will no longer laugh at the Patriots coming out of the tunnel to “Crazy Train” when rewatching the Philadelphia Eagles win SB52.

(Still will crack up when Brady drops it)

Same goes for Cowboys fans that worship Aikman and his 1 passing TD per game (even in his prime) who played with 4 HoF’ers and a HoF coach.

Sit this one out.
The one thing I will add in five months of taking in discourse about the Eagles (won Super Bowl 40-6) is that the next person who says “anybody could have won a Super Bowl with that team!” who *actually picked that team to win a Super Bowl given the chance to do so in February* will be the first.

With this sudden shift in the definition of success, we might run out of ink printing up all those “Top 5 QB” banners NFL teams will be hanging in years to come.

Careful. An Eagles blocking back wearing #57 in Kelly Green and catching balls out of the backfield might resurrect Buddy Ryan.

Eagles have to drop 40 on Flamengo now.

You say Beetlejuice 3x, he shows up. I don’t make the hex rules 🤷‍♂️

NFL owners about to file a complaint that he’s circumventing the charity donation cap.
Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and his family have donated $50 million to CHOP and Penn to accelerate research into autism.

Penn and CHOP said the Luries’ gift is the largest ever for academic medical centers with a singular focus on autism at all ages.
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and family donate $50 million to CHOP and Penn for autism institute
The purpose of the new Lurie Autism Institute is to expand research already being done at CHOP and Penn, form a global hub for research, and attract more scientists to the field.
