The government reopening is the first domino to fall.

The release of the Epstein files is the next.

After that, one domino after another falls until the entire regime is no more.

Republicans know this, and are lying and delaying to prevent it.

They may slow it down, but they can’t stop it.

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

It doesn’t make cents.

Proof that the U.S. government social media accounts are in fact white nationalist propaganda accounts, funded by our tax dollars.

You’ve got to see this…

If you are a person who told everyone they were overreacting in 2016, and you have since realized you were wrong, I think you have a valuable role to play right now:

Talk to people who aren't convinced things are *that bad* about why you were wrong and what you wish you had done differently.

Vote to advance Thune’s DoD bill.

They’ll have to reopen the house to pass it. And swear in new legislators while they’re at it 🫡

Hey Democratic leaders:

Nobody’s got the appetite for word salads right now.

I don’t wanna hear about midterms unless it comes with a plan to ensure the elections are legitimate.

And don’t talk to me about opposing fascism through the courts without telling me HOW the rulings will be enforced.

Anyone else ready to organize and figure this out? Clock’s ticking.

When midnight strikes, Trump turns into a pumpkin. Then the real shit show begins.

The story is Signal.

The story is the horrific El Salvadoran human trafficking (no due process)

The story is the Tufts student getting snatched off the street like an enemy of the state.

Stay focused.

I love how #Bluesky is everything Twitter was supposed to be and more.

Jay Graber is doing a great job of fighting against fascism in her own way 👏🏻

How can we generate the same amount of rage and public/congressional engagement on the nightmare El Salvadoran situation?

Seems like we care more about protecting military secrets than the lives of other humans who have been trafficked and harmed by those unlawful deportations.

NBC News: The Espionage Act contains a provision making it crime to disclose national defense secrets "through gross negligence."

The law does not require info be classified, because it was written before the classification system existed. The law refers simply to "national defense information."
Negligently disclosing national defense information is illegal — and it doesn't have to be classified

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.

Since war plans are now being drafted on construction paper and tossed around like paper airplanes, I understand why you’d think this post makes sense.

But we, the netizens of Bluesky, don’t have the answers you’re looking for.

Might I suggest you DO YOUR JOB and launch a congressional inquiry?

Mobilizing people is good.

Protests filled with excitement and hope are good.

But at some point — SOON — all that energy has to be channeled into action.

We’re running out of time. The line won’t hold until 2026 midterms.

It’s time for the leaders to step forward with near-term plans.

Judge James Boasberg seems to be the only person in our separate-but-equal government who has the courage to pay the check when the balance is due on our freedoms.

Do not let him fight alone!

We need AOC, Bernie, Jasmine, and anyone with a voice or platform to use it in support of his honor.

Dear Liberty, I always saw you as statuesque. Standing firm, gripping the torch of freedom, immovable as you bear the light of hope during dark times like these.

But even the strongest women have their soft spots. I wish I had protected yours. I had no idea how fragile your heart was. Please stay 🙏
