Home safe. Here's a recap of all the goodies I got for myself in Portland!

Getting ready to head home. Will definitely miss my friends and Portland. I love the unpredictable, quirky vibe of the place, very much like a sister city to Seattle.

Ventured to another used game store called Retro Shark and picked up one neat Switch physical edition and a game I really wanted on PSP. Also was astounded by how pricey some old games I own are. Might need to go through my collection...

Visited the new and improved location for Double Jump. Really great used game store. I even got respectable trade-in value and turned it around for a couple new Switch games!

The horrors of war ravaged Portland. JK, only a fucking idiot would call it that. Pretty nice weather, all things considered. The sun even sorta came out to say hi!

Making up for lost time and traveling today! Here's hoping everything goes smoothly. I'll try and share an occasional photo. Like my travel buddy for this trip 🤣

Here's how my turkey turned out! Now to make some mashed potatoes.

Thanksgiving may be a few weeks away, but I'm still having crock pot fun with a turkey half breast!

This series is haunting me. Gonna have to watch it on my upcoming vacation, I think.

It's dark and stormy, so probably not getting anymore trick or treaters. So I'm sharing my jack o lanterns with you, my Bluesky peeps. Happy Halloween!

Decided to turn a recently made putanesca into a bolognese. Which might sound weird, but the level of fish flavor was very mild. Now to meld it with some sauteed turkey!

Your reminder that fish is easy to make, gorgeous and delicious! Beautiful piece of salmon for dinner tonight.

For all two of you who probably see this, I got something neat in the mail! Never played the first Legends, so thought I'd try ZA. Just a question of when I start playing. Probably not this month lol.

The first of my new flock of jack o lanterns! Got this big boy for a great price at Walmart.

Went to one of my favorite local farmer's markets for the last day before it returns in the Summer months. Got some delicious berries, a couple small eggplants and apples. Good haul!

Just went to see Him, but first I stopped by a Halloween popup store. Here's some highlights.

Totally forgot to post this earlier. More fun with crockpots! This time I made a marinade with green onion, parsley, red onion and lemon, mostly. Tasted good, should turn out well. I'll share a picture of the final result later.

Okay it's close enough, I'm calling it. It's officially Halloween season. Thank Dracula.

Fancyish lunch break. Momofuku noodles and stir fried veggies of my own creation.
September 16, 2025 at 7:47 PM
Up to my nonsense again. Crockpottery is fun! Chicken, carrots, celery, garlic and taters with my marinade drenched over them. Now to sit on my butt for 4 hours (aka the best part).

If you really want to live, make turkey meatballs for dinner while you're sick with a head cold. At least I know it's not covid, since I can smell these. Now to rest and then make a sauce...

Everybody had me worried I'd have a rough time downloading Silksong, but I just got it installed along with the upgrade pack. No issues whatsoever, other than my not being able to play this until I write up more PAX articles. Lol
September 4, 2025 at 6:24 PM
Survived another PAX West! Which is especially impressive to me since I'm feeling pretty ancient these days. Had a lot of fun, bought swag, met plenty of cool people and played a great variety of games. Soon I'll get started writing up EVERYTHING I played. Stay tuned

Good way to cap off PAX West was demoing Fractured Blooms and meeting the man who started Serenity Forge, goes by Z. Loved hearing how hard work and determination worked for this eclectic and talented publisher

I may have done another bad thing, doods... Or a good thing, since I got this little guy for 30% off on the final day!
